Optalis Healthcare & Rehabilitation is seeking the right candidate to join our FAMILY at our Kingsford facility located at 1225 Woodward Ave. Kingsford, MI 49802.

Shifts Available: FT, PT, and PRN positions available on all three shifts. We have 8 or 12 hour shifts.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Duties and Responsibilities

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) daily responsibility will be to evaluate assigned patients within one of our Skilled Nursing Facilities. Our nurses direct the CNAs in their daily care of residents. Their role will be to maintain patient comfort and safety. They’ll also need to follow all departmental policies and procedures as well as safety, environmental, and infection control standards. They’ll represent the facility with integrity, free of gifts or improper inducements.

A Licensed Practical Nurse LPN adheres to the facility’s Core Values and mission with complete regard for the dignity of each person.

  • Providing great patient care.
  • Establishing a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families.
  • Administering medications and other treatments.
  • Assisting physicians during examinations and procedures.
  • Promoting patient’s independence by establishing, implementing, and directing care goals.
  • Resolving patient concerns and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies.
  • Examining patients to detect issues requiring medical care, including open wounds, bruises, or blood in the urine.
  • Staying up to date on nurse training & education and facility policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Requirements
  • State of Michigan Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Valid Identification.
  • Comfortable using a computer.
