CNC Machinist - St. Johns Area

Salary Range: $52,000 - $84,000 depending on experience

• Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, grinders) according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine part dimensions and tolerances.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished parts from machines.
• Monitor machine operations, making adjustments to offsets, feeds, and speeds as needed to maintain quality.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and make minor repairs or report significant issues to maintenance.

• Proven experience operating and setting up CNC mills and/or lathes.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and G-code/M-code programming.
• Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Strong understanding of various machining materials and their properties.
• Ability to perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.

• Basic welding (MIG/TIG) experience
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles
• Proficiency in advanced CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Solid Works CAM)
