Setup Technician - DeWitt Area

Salary Range: $41,000 - $66,000 depending on experience

• Perform precise machine setups and changeovers for production runs according to specifications.
• Install, align, and adjust tooling, dies, and fixtures to meet product requirements.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, or programming issues during setup or production.
• Conduct first-piece inspections and ensure all quality parameters are met before production release.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Document setup procedures, machine settings, and troubleshooting actions.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize setup times and improve efficiency.

• Proven experience in machine setup, changeovers, and operation within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) and various hand/power tools.
• Ability to read and accurately interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical work instructions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
• Adherence to safety protocols and quality standards in a production setting.

• Experience with PLC programming or industrial automation systems.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles (e.g., SMED, 5S, Kaizen).
• Proficiency in CAD software or advanced blueprint interpretation.
• Certification in specific precision measurement tools or specialized equipment.
