Setup Technician - Mattawan Area

Salary Range: $45,000 - $70,000 depending on experience

• Perform machine setup and changeovers according to production schedules and specifications.
• Install, adjust, and calibrate tooling and fixtures for various manufacturing processes.
• Conduct first-piece inspections and verify setup accuracy to ensure product quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve setup-related issues to minimize downtime and optimize production.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions for precise machine configuration.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve setup efficiency and process reliability.
• Document setup parameters and procedures for future reference and continuous improvement.

• 3-5 years of experience in machine setup, changeovers, and process adjustments in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving equipment issues.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Familiarity with manufacturing safety standards and quality control procedures (e.g., ISO, GMP).

• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software for fixture design or blueprint interpretation.
• Experience with PLC programming or basic automation troubleshooting.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification/experience.
• Background as a Machinist or Tool & Die Maker.
