Your role
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the repair, preventative maintenance, and factory maintenance within the site facilities. Responsibilities include all aspects related to mechanical operations. You will support prompt repair, preventative maintenance schedules, housekeeping, and organizational standards. You will update the respective departments regarding the status of all operating equipment. Work with vendors, riggers, and millwrights on proper installation of equipment.
You will report to the Facilities and Maintenance Supervisor.

- Perform Preventative Maintenance on all production equipment, per guidelines.
- Service equipment that includes cold headers (forging), heat treatment furnaces, plating lines, high speed sorting equipment, collating machines, conveyors and motors.
- Anticipate and resolve problems promptly.
- Follow approved Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures.
- Follow approved reduction of stored energy guidelines.
- Provide input and help manage continuous improvement projects.
- Electrically and mechanically troubleshoot production equipment issues as they occur.
- Operate a fork‑truck, man‑lift, shop fabricating equipment, power hand tools, etc.
- Other related responsibilities as they relate to facility maintenance/support.
- 3 years minimum industrial/manufacturing environment experience
- Industry understanding in pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical and servo motors
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Experience with proactive maintenance systems (CMMS)
- Understand basic electrical prints and follow electrical standards
- Experience troubleshooting electrical control circuits
- Experience with the installation of new or upgrading existing systems and equipment
- Basic computer skills to include Microsoft Office preferred
- Basic welding/fabrication skills
- Mechanical reasoning skills
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Related certifications
- Electrical certification, preferred
- Experience training junior apprentice(s) on the proper methods of equipment repair and maintenance
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds periodically
- Must be able to climb ladders/stairs and occasionally work in high places
