This position is responsible for the slicing, stuffing, packaging, and boxing of sausage products manually or by mechanical means to produce both work in process and finished goods products. This job may include the loading, unloading of materials, packaging, and finished goods products from racks or pallets.
Accountabilities- Adhere to all safety requirements including the wearing of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as prescribed for each work activity or job.
- Adhere to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), package, stuff or slice raw materials to designated weights on an individual package or case weight basis.
- Meet production performance requirements in a fast-paced work environment.
- Transfer finished products and raw materials to identified locations in the plant/warehouse or on the production line.
- Follow all SQF principles pertinent to the position as specified by the SQF Practitioner.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to communicate production issues, counts, and weights to supervision or lead personnel.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Knowledge of GMP and safe food manufacturing practices is a plus.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- Fork Lift/Pallet Jack Certification is a plus.

Physical RequirementsThe physical demands include standing for 10+ hours, lifting up to 25 pounds regularly, and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
