The Assembler will assemble small stainless steam traps, test, repair, evaluate, and/or package manufactured products. This position could perform other tasks as assigned including operating/maintaining machinery, metal fabrication, welding and working on a production line.
• Verifies information on production orders and prepare items for assembly
• Determines method of assembly by utilizing knowledge of assembly routings and procedures
• Understanding of basic power tools
• Proper use of testing equipment
• Appropriate gaging knowledge
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
• SPC quality system awareness
• Compares identifying information, counts, weights, and verifies data against bills of materials
• Organizes and keeps work area clean
• High attention to detail and self-motivation skills
• Reads blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation, then builds to those specifications.
• Uses various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Maintains equipment and conveyors and performs basic repairs when needed.
• Inventories tools, parts, and supplies; contacts materials handler if supplies are needed.
• Periodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion;
resolves any identified problems and alerts supervisor.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical & technical skills.
• Good mathematics skills.
• Detail-oriented and consistent.
• Knowledge of gauging principals.
• Works well as a productive member of a team.
• Good communication skills
• Basic ability in mathematics, reading, or writing.
• Must be a culture fit willing to align and adapt to the Armstrong core values, and behaviors that make up the organization. High School or equivalent 1 year

• Repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, reaching.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Consistently lift 5-10 pounds (occasional up to 50 lbs.)
• Must have manual dexterity in order to assemble products or machines as directed.
• Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Physical and Mental stamina to stand, walk, lift, and adjust to the noise and lighting of the manufacturing environment.
