We are seeking a Director of Operations to lead a centralized Construction Planning and Delivery organization—overseeing teams, vendors, and project governance—to drive operational excellence, financial accuracy, and customer satisfaction while supporting strategic network expansion and ensuring consistent, high-quality execution across all construction activities.

- Lead a centralized Construction Planning and Delivery organization to include full-time and contract employees, outsourced vendor partners, PMO, inspection, and quality control of work performed by contract labor in a direct and matrixed management environment.
- Build and maintain relationships with key boundary partners within the Kanaan Communications organization and Market-level OSP Construction personnel.
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of the accounting for project scheduling, status reporting, and budgetary governance.
- Optimize the existing OSP infrastructure to support a positive customer experience.
- Drive the development of consistent, operationally efficient and effective processes.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements for leaders to make proper decisions.
- Own the analysis and management of key performance indicators and service level agreements for Enterprise Construction activities, proactively improving performance as appropriate.
- Demonstrate a commitment to outstanding customer service to Kanaan Communications' business operations.
- Understand customer needs while developing and executing plans to address them and improve the overall customer experience.
- Monitor and influence relationships between local and state regulatory and public affairs communication teams to ensure effective notification of project-related construction activities.
- Develop, implement, and monitor proper project status reporting and establish internal controls and key operational management controls.
- Build and enhance a strong team that provides proactive support and results-driven execution to meet current and future business needs.
- Monitor and assess current trends and emerging developments within the Broadband Industry to ensure compliance and preparedness.
- Stay abreast of best practices and trends relevant to Network Construction and Design technologies.
- Liaise with key stakeholders across Kanaan Communication to ensure appropriate service levels.
- Manage and coach employees to increase engagement and strengthen professional development.
- Continuously strive to develop talent within the Construction organization to promote career growth.
- Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned or requested.
- 10 or more years of experience in Network Design, Construction, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Knowledge of current and emerging trends and developments within the construction field and their impact on business operations.
- Leadership and strategic management skills to develop, coach, and direct the performance of a team to achieve goals.
- Proven leadership and teamwork skills fostering an inclusive, supportive environment at all levels.
- An executive presence to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex concepts clearly and logically.
- Critical thinking and analytical skills, including the ability to identify, assess, and prioritize competing interests and needs.
- Ability to adjust quickly to shifting priorities, multiple demands, ambiguity, and rapid change.
