2nd Shift Warehouse Supervisor

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading the warehouse department in all operational disciplines and ensure operational excellence, high productivity, and customer satisfaction. The Warehouse Gateway Supervisor coordinates warehouse activities and facility maintenance under the direction of the Warehouse Manager and Branch and Regional Management. This position is responsible to trainwarehouse personnel to ensure a well-coordinated shipping and receiving plan.

• Responsible for the daily scheduling of warehouse personnel to ensure proper staffingin order toselect and receive products at the facility in a productive and cost-efficient manner.
• Directs the day-to-day activities of the warehouse.
• Such activities include shipping, receiving, sanitation, maintenance, inventory control, etc.
• Adheres to budget requirements and works toward obtaining objectives and branch goals.
• Responsible for maintenance of warehouse equipment, providing both preventive maintenance programs and all necessary repairs.
• Ensures that the warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment in order toperform the distributionfunctions.
• Responsible for warehouse safety programs in order toprovide a safe and clean workplace for employees and within the regulations of all OSHA local and state regulations.
• Recommends equipment requirements and replacementsin order toupgrade and maintain warehouse productivity and efficiency.
• Responsible for recruitment, hiring, training, performance management, and discipline of direct reports.
• Timely reporting and compliance with deadlines
• Researches, identifies, and presents new ideas to improve warehouse operations.

• Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies.
• Performs other duties as needed/assigned

• Manage and lead warehouse personnel, including recruitment, training, performance management, and succession planning.
• Provide coaching and support to ensure employees are motivated and productive.
• Train new employees on warehouse systems and procedures.

• 2-3 years of experience in transportation and logistics management, with supervisory or managerial responsibilities is preferred.
• High School Diploma required
• Must have forklift experience
