Boyne City Public Schools is looking for a full-time Custodial Cleaner

• A consistent work ethic and the ability to work as a team player and as an individual at different times.
• Strong attendance record in past positions.
• Ability to communicate with others, informing them of changing situations and asking questions when situations arise that you need help with on the job.
• High School diploma or GED certificate.

• Assists the maintenance personnel as needed while they perform their duties.
• The position will entail general cleaning, lifting, possible lawn care and snow removal, minor building maintenance and repair, generally associated with custodial work.
• Monitor building security and safety by performing tasks such as unlocking doors at designated times and locking them after operating hours.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors, fixtures, and individuals.
• Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
• Assist building personnel with daily needs, including lunchroom setup, take-down, and cleanup, as well as daily activity/event preparations.
• Assist staff and visiting public in using school facilities, including providing directions within the building, and in obtaining and setting up needed equipment and/or materials.
• Lifting and moving materials and equipment.
• Other duties as assigned or requested
