Our construction equipment group is seeking a full‑time Rental Coordinator for our Gaylord, MI location. Our new team member will assist with rental tasks to identify customer needs, coordinate pick‑ups, and perform inventory control for our rental department. The primary responsibilities of the position consist of, but are not limited to:

• Manage customer relationships
• Assist customers that walk into our branch
• Provide customers with expert advice on equipment selection
• Manage fleet availability, utilization and returns
• Close rental deals from inbound inquiry leads
• Incorporate Alta’s Guiding Principles into daily activities
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Consistent, regular, and reliable attendance including being ready to work at the designated start time

• 1 year of construction experience preferred
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment
• Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
• Knowledge of construction equipment or similar industry
• Good computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Language Skills – Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
• Reasoning Ability – Intermediate;
  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
• Computer Skills – Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Epicor/SILK systems

• Physical/Sensory Functions:
  Occasionally will stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl;
  Regularly will sit, use hands, talk/hear.
• Vision:
  No special vision requirements.
• Lift and/or Move Functions:
  Frequently will lift up to 10 pounds.
