Responsibilities- Interface with clients and meetings.
- Prepare legal documents such as motions, pleadings, memorandums, and correspondence for criminal cases.
- Manage all stages of a criminal case, from investigation through trial and sentencing.
- Demonstrate significant court experience in handling legal proceedings.
- Stay educated by participating in local, state, and national legal conferences.
- Effectively manage and meet case deadlines to ensure successful outcomes.
- Analyze, collaborate, and implement trial strategies to achieve client objectives.
- Experienced in all aspects of criminal law, including adult and juvenile cases, felony and misdemeanor charges, and pre-charge negotiation.
- Skilled in bond, risk assessment, mitigation, case strategy, motion practice, thorough discovery, trial proceedings, and sentencing advocacy.
- Required to attend Court appearances in Michigan.
- Admission to the Michigan State Bar is a must.
- Must be tech-friendly or willing to learn new technologies.
- Effective and clear communication skills are essential.
- Ability to track and meet minimum billable requirements.
- Excellent and creative writing skills are necessary.
- Strong belief in the Constitution and a commitment to advocating for clients daily.
$65,000 - $80,000 DOE plus performance-based bonuses
