Victim Rights Coordinator (Junior)/Legal Secretary/ParalegalDepartment: Prosecutor's Office
Status: Full-time CCIEA General Unit Union, 40 hours per week
Wages/Grade: Hourly range $19.42 - $22.33 (Grade 2, Step 1-5)
Victim Rights Coordinator – Under the supervision of the Prosecutor and their management team as assigned. Completes reporting forms for statutory requirements, organizes and provides required services and coordinates with other agencies to assure compliance, attends required trainings, communicates with victims, attorneys and law enforcement, obtains documents for court cases, drafts various legal documents such as motions, orders, warrants and subpoenas, performs various other duties as assigned.
Hourly pay range is $19.42 - $22.33 (Step 1-5, annual equivalent $40,395 – $46,442) but has a total of 9 Steps on the wage scale. Requirements include an associate’s degree with an emphasis in criminal justice or paralegal studies, three years’ experience in legal or social services setting is preferred, knowledge of criminal justice system and court procedures, ability to prepare accurate legal documents, perform mathematical calculations, communicate effectively, and work with the public in stressful and crisis situations.
