This is a full or part-time, on-site role located in Bloomfield Hills, MI, for an Associate Attorney working across a wide range of civil matters, with emphasis on real estate and construction law. The position involves substantial direct communication with clients, management of varied civil cases, and opportunities for independent decision making. The Associate Attorney will conduct legal research, draft legal documents, advise clients, support negotiations, and contribute to the efficient resolution of civil disputes.
This role provides significant autonomy and is ideal for an attorney looking to grow and expand their own book of business through meaningful client contact and relationship building.
- Minimum five years of experience in civil practice
- Strong foundation in general civil law, with experience in real estate and/or construction law preferred
- Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging directly with clients
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload independently and efficiently
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
- Demonstrated professionalism, organization, and ambition
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active membership in the Michigan State Bar
- Interest in developing long-term client relationships and expanding a personal book of business
