Power BI Developer – Bridgman, MI

Bridgman, MI, US, 49106 – WECTEC Staffing Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Westinghouse Electric Company LLC. This is a long‑term contract position located onsite in Bridgman, MI. You will report to a client manager.

• Dashboard Development & Visualization
• Design interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Establish and maintain dashboard design standards and visualization best practices.
• Create clear, relevant visualizations that communicate resource, cost and schedule data.
• Analyze and validate datasets.
• Organize and automate external data sources.

• Build data models in Power BI and related Microsoft technologies.
• Design and implement efficient DAX calculations and measures to support analytical requirements.

• Manage Power BI workspace environments, including gateways and dataset refresh schedules.
• Implement and maintain Continuous Integration / Continuous Development (CI/CD) pipelines to refine BI deployments and ensure consistency across environments.
• Monitor performance and apply proactive solutions to improve speed, scalability, and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with nuclear data privacy and security standards.

• Partner with project team members, department heads, and primary teams to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Conduct training and provide documentation to build data literacy among end‑users.
• Offer ongoing support and serve as a data resource for decision‑making.

• Contribute to the development of our data strategy and BI roadmap.
• Apply CI/CD methodologies to new and ongoing data projects, supporting innovation, automation, and process efficiency across the analytics environment.
• Support additional data‑related projects as assigned, including automation, analytics, and visualization projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance decision‑making through data.
• Stay current on Power BI innovations and industry best practices.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of professional experience in Power BI development and business intelligence.
• Expert‑level proficiency with Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power BI Report Server.
• Knowledge in the use of DAX and Power Query (M language).
• Demonstrated experience with data modeling and data warehouse concepts.
• Experience translating requirements into technical solutions.
• Analytical skills.
• Be able to pass criminal background, drug/alcohol screen (including medical and recreational marijuana and CBD products), and employment testing.
• Local to the area of the position.

The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $40/hour to $65/hour.
