Sql Database Administrator

* Description
* This SQL Database Administrator position is part of a shared services department and involves working in a close cross functional team environment supporting enterprise IT infrastructure. The role is hybrid (3 days onsite in Whitehall and 2 days remote).

Responsibilities include:

* Proactively performing database monitoring and performance tuning

* Implementing and maintaining database security controls aligned with industry and regulatory requirements

* Assessing incidents and vulnerabilities, monitoring patching status, reviewing configuration baselines, and evaluating compliance test results related to SQL technologies

* Assisting infrastructure staff with performance and capacity monitoring

* Staying current on best practices and technological advancements and serving as a technical resource for compliance

* Developing, documenting, and revising system design procedures, test procedures, and security standards

* Basic Requirements
* * Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems (or 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree)

* Minimum 3 years of experience with SQL database technologies

* Ability to travel up to 25%

* Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; employment eligibility verification required at time of hire

* Visa sponsorship is not available

* Position is subject to ITAR requirements, requiring U.S. person status

* Pay and Benefits
* The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
