The OpportunityWe are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Ludington that are seeking skilled HR Generalists. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities- Manage full-cycle recruitment for production, technical, and administrative roles.
- Provide guidance and support on employee relations issues, including investigations and conflict resolution.
- Administer HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, including OSHA.
- Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding, safety training, and other employee development programs.
- Support performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and corrective actions.
- Process payroll, administer benefits, and maintain accurate employee data within the HRIS.
- Act as a primary point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries and concerns.
- Minimum 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Solid understanding of federal and state employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Proven experience in full-cycle recruitment for various manufacturing roles, including production and skilled trades.
- Strong capabilities in employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
- Familiarity with manufacturing safety protocols, worker's compensation, and OSHA regulations.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms and HR data management.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with HR in a multi-shift or unionized manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and industrial safety programs.
