H.B. Carbide is a family owned, globally recognized manufacturer of tungsten carbide custom, altered standard and standard blanks and preforms. Located in Lewiston, Michigan, we are proud of the product that we manufacture for our customers. Our team is looking for an individual to join us as a Human Resources Business Partner. This is a full-time, onsite position requiring the individual selected to be within driving distance of Lewiston, Michigan.

Job Responsibilities
  • Effectively perform a wide range of day-to-day HR functions for a 125+ employee manufacturing operation.
  • Drive effective and engaging communications while building relationships across three shift operations.
  • Participate in defining strategic HR goals, tactical steps to success and timelines.
  • Serve as a thought partner, problem solver, and advocate of outstanding communications and employee relations to the local and corporate leadership teams.
  • Propose, design, and implement outstanding HR management policies, processes and initiatives to meet local needs while supporting a vision of commonality across Star-Cutter businesses.
  • Successfully lead various human resource plans, procedures, legal requirements.
  • Employ effective recruitment and selection tools to drive timely full-cycle talent acquisition and onboarding for a range of positions employees across the organization.
Education and Experience
  • Three plus years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Experience supporting a manufacturing team is welcomed, but not critical.
