Access Coordinator

- Bachelor’s degree in a human services field, per Medicaid Provider Manual Guidelines
- At least two years of experience in the mental health field; preferred experience with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
- Screen intake calls and requests for services from Oakland, Macomb, Wayne, and other counties
- Determine preliminary eligibility based on services for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities per regulations and funding criteria
- Make preliminary decision of County of Financial Responsibility (COFR)
- Assist individuals in scheduling intake appointments based on eligibility and residence
- Explain the intake process and answer questions for individuals and families
- Provide information on services offered by Easterseals MORC based on county of residence
- Explain ability-to-pay rules as needed
- Gather documentation required for the intake appointment from EMR or alternate sources
