Summary

A public school district in Michigan is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join its student support services team. The district serves elementary learners and emphasizes proactive, evidence-based behavioral support to foster academic and social success. This role provides district-wide expertise in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), partnering with educators and families to ensure consistent, effective practices.

What

You’ll Do
  • Design and oversee individualized ABA programs to support students’ behavioral and academic progress.
  • Conduct functional behavior assessments and skill-based evaluations
  • Develop, monitor, and adjust Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) based on data-driven insights.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure consistent implementation of interventions.
  • Provide training and consultation for staff on evidence-based strategies and behavior management techniques.
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development, and crisis-response planning.
  • Promote a culture of positive behavior support across school environments.
What You’ll Need
  • Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
  • Meets ESSA standards for qualified personnel.
  • Demonstrated experience with functional behavior assessments and data analysis.
  • Strong understanding of the Positive Behavior Support framework.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to collect and interpret data to guide instructional and behavioral decisions.
  • Experience working in public school settings.
  • Background in developing tiered behavioral interventions (MTSS/PBIS).
  • Experience training staff and families in ABA-based strategies.
