A Day in the Life
As a Medical Assistant Regional Float, you will work on assignment within the East Region Ambulatory System. With over 100 clinics in Northern Michigan, our Medical Assistants can expand their knowledge in different specialties without leaving the organization:
Primary Care, Internal Medicine, Urgent Care, Heart & Vascular, Oncology Services, Surgical Services, Orthopedics, Urology, Women’s Health, Pediatrics, Behavioral Medicine, Quality and Medical Specialties:
Sleep Medicine, Wound Care, Pulmonary, Infectious Disease, Endocrinology, Occupational Medicine, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Nephrology & Rheumatology.Medical Assistants complete clinical and administrative tasks within the clinic. They work alongside the provider to make sure our patients are taken care of, and the clinic runs smoothly!
We have the best schedules in healthcare! Most Clinics operate during normal business hours Monday through Friday and are closed on Holidays. As a Float, there is a possibility you will be covering weekends as well which can include day shifts on Saturday and Sunday.
High School graduate or GED equivalent is required.
Credentialed as a Medical Assistant from an approved Munson Healthcare Credentialing Organization (Must meet any requirements to maintain credential and maintain credentialing throughout employment)
1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant required.
BLS certification preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained.
