. As a Behavior Technician at Total Spectrum, you’ll have the exciting role of helping children with autism learn, grow, and build communication, socialization, and self‑help skills through a play‑based therapy known as applied behavior analysis (ABA).
We are currently hiring for part‑time Behavior Technicians in the area. See why working with Total Spectrum could be the perfect fit for you.
Responsibilities- Help children with autism learn, grow, and build communication, socialization, and self‑help skills through ABA.
- Implement play‑based therapy with children aged 2‑22 with autism and special needs in their homes, schools, or at centers.
- Work a part‑time schedule between 8 am–7 pm EST Monday‑Friday, with potential evenings and weekends, building to full time if desired.
- Provide evidence‑based, contemporary ABA therapy for children, teens, and young adults with autism to help them succeed.
- A genuine desire to help children with autism and their families reach their goals.
- A steady supply of compassion, empathy, enthusiasm, kindness, goodwill, and reliability.
- A willingness to learn about autism, learning differences, and ABA.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum age 18 on or before the first day of employment.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Valid Driver’s License and personal vehicle required.
- Availability to work a consistent weekly schedule (mornings, afternoons, and/or evenings).
- The ability to pass a background check.
- Bonus: bilingual English/Spanish fluency; studied, majored, or minored in psychology, education, special education, childcare, behavioral health, or a related field; experience working with children; training and skills for a career in behavior analysis, behavioral health, or related fields; creating lasting, positive change for children and their families.
- Earn up to 15 days of paid time off after 90 days of full‑time employment.
- Part‑time employees eligible for sick leave.
- Starting pay at $18.00 per hour and upward with experience.
- Potential promotion within three months.
