Departmental Analyst:Preparedness Grants Unit

The Emergency Management and Homeland Security Division (EMHSD) administers multiple federal grant programs on behalf of sub-recipients statewide and effective program management is essential. The individual in this position will play a vital role in division efforts to effectively meet grant program requirements and ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations. This individual will assist with the application process for grants from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
This individual will also provide technical support to state and local agencies relating to implementation of various grant programs. Assistance provided by this individual will include hands-on development of appropriate guidance materials and hosting and presenting meetings with stakeholders from other state departments and local government agencies, and providing technical assistance to grant subrecipients.
- Assist with the application process for grants from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
- Provide technical support to state and local agencies relating to implementation of various grant programs.
- Develop guidance materials and host and present meetings with stakeholders from other state departments and local government agencies.

- Education
:
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major. - Experience
:- Departmental Analyst 9 — No specific type or amount is required.
- Departmental Analyst 10 — One year of professional experience.
- Departmental Analyst P11 — Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service.
Alternate Education and Experience
- Departmental Analyst 9 - 12

Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement.
