POLICE DEPARTMENT COMMUNICATIONS OFFICERThe City of Richmond is seeking qualified candidates for union position of Part-Time Communications Officer
- Responsible for dispatching police, fire, EMS services and DPW as well as clerical duties
- Shift work and working holidays is required
- Candidates should have strong interpersonal and communication skills, clerical skills, with a large emphasis placed on computer skills
- Will train for dispatching duties but prior experience is a plus
- Pre-employment physical, a drug screen, psychological evaluation and comprehensive background investigation required.
- Applicant must be:
- 18 years of age
- a U.S. citizen
- no felony convictions
Starting wage: $19.88/hourly (this is the probationary rate, $0.40 raise after 6 months).
