13-week contract with potential to convert based on performance and availability.
Required- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. (Master's Degree preferred)
- 3 to 5 years in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Candidate will be working on site.
Position responsibilities to include but not be limited to journal entries, compiling finance reports, variance analysis, reconciliations, quarterly partnership reporting, budgeting, and cost reporting. Fixed Asset work is not a large part of this position. This position does differ from a corporate accounting position in that the candidate will be involved in the full process from start to finish, the team is not segmented into tasks or portions of the process.
Job SummaryResponsible for preparing, validating and analyzing financial information; preparing journal entries; maintaining fixed asset records; reconciling fixed asset and other general ledger account balances on a monthly basis; work closely with other departments to assist with fixed asset and other financial issues.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Prepare fixed asset account reconciliations, investigating and clearing any reconciling items
- Review fixed asset project and purchase requests for proper accounting treatment and compliance with System’s capital policy.
- Work closely with departments in recognizing asset retirements timely
- Provide support for internal and external audits
- Assist in footnote preparation for quarterly/annual financial statements.
- Perform other responsibilities or assignments as required.
- 3 to 5 years in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Master’s Degree preferred.
