The Financial Analyst at Viking Group will support financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities that drive informed business decisions. This role partners closely with operations, accounting, and leadership to analyze financial performance, support budgeting and forecasting, and provide insights that improve profitability, cost control, and operational efficiency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:- Prepare and analyze forecasts, annual operating plan, and assistance in compilation of strategic plan in a timely manner.
- Lead cash flow reporting, analysis and forecasting efforts.
- Analyze inventory costs and provide management with recommendations
- Contribute to month-end close processes and provide timely management reporting, insights, and recommendations.
- Assists the Senior Accounting Manager and Corporate Controller with various tasks as needed.
- Manage the capital expense process.
- Analyze financial data and key performance indicators to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain financial models, budgets, and forecasts.
- Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and provide insights to senior management to support decision-making.
- Continuously monitor financial processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes as necessary.
- Support M&A activities and due diligence efforts as needed.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or related field.
- Understanding of inventory accounting principles, including standard cost, FIFO/LIFO, and inventory reserves.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and data analytics
- Knowledge of JD Edwards E1 software is desired or experience with ERP systems.
- CPA or CMA is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
