Description

Position Summary (Mission):
The Senior Accountant position is responsible for month-end close, preparing the month end financial statements, cost accounting, and supporting the plant with timely, data driven insights. It will include working with the controller to report monthly financials to the CFO and the board of directors.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting & Month End Close
    • Prepare financial statements to summarize and forecast the company’s financial status
  • Cash Flow Management
  • Cost Accounting
    • Support operations by tracking direct and indirect costs
    • Preform Annual Cost roll
    • Support cycle count program
  • Inventory Management
    • Monitor Negative and obsolete inventory balances
  • Fixed Assets and Capital Project Management
    • Track Capital expenditures and maintain fixed asset ledgers
  • Produces and manages balance sheets and analyzes future earnings and expenses.
  • Assists with preparations for audits.
  • Assist with yearly budgets.
  • Works to reconcile accounting inaccuracies or imbalances.
  • Ensure compliance with and prepare reports according to applicable government regulations.
  • Work with peers, superiors and subordinates to ensure the development and execution of the department/operating plan.
  • Ad hoc reports and analysis.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    Skills & Experience Required:

  • Progressive experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ensuring accounting practices comply with US GAAP, internal policies, and audit requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
