Key Responsibilities- Perform calibration and verification of precision measuring equipment and gauges.
- Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) for dimensional inspection.
- Conduct detailed dimensional inspections of manufactured components using various metrology tools.
- Document and maintain accurate calibration records, measurement reports, and equipment logs.
- Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on metrology equipment to ensure accuracy.
- Analyze measurement data to identify trends, process variations, and non-conformances.
- Provide technical support to production and engineering teams on metrology-related issues.
- Associate's degree in Metrology, Machining, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints and applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Hands‑on experience operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other precision metrology equipment (e.g., optical comparators, micrometers, calipers).
- Knowledge of calibration principles, measurement uncertainty, and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail for accurate data collection and analysis.
- Experience with CMM programming languages (e.g., PC‑DMIS, Calypso) for complex applications.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, CATIA) for model‑based definition (MBD) or reverse engineering.
- Certification or experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience operating and analyzing data from advanced metrology equipment (e.g., laser trackers, structured light scanners).
