Your ImpactYou’ll be the on‑site technical authority who ensures new systems launch flawlessly and existing assets run at peak efficiency. From commissioning automated equipment to restoring production during critical outages, your expertise will keep customers’ operations moving.
Core Responsibilities- Plan and execute field installations and equipment run‑off, verifying performance and safety to factory benchmarks prior to turnover.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults—including urgent, on‑call repairs in demanding environments like foundries and automotive facilities.
- Carry out preventive maintenance routines that extend machine life and reduce failure risk.
- Coach operators and maintenance personnel in safe use and first‑level troubleshooting.
- Produce clear service records, parts usage, and expense submissions; experience with ERP systems (Syteline preferred) is beneficial.
- Offer remote troubleshooting and guidance when not traveling.
- High school diploma required; associate degree or certification in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Preferred 4+ years working with PLCs.
- Minimum 4 years in industrial maintenance or field service, ideally within foundry, casting, or heavy manufacturing; prior travel experience is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to uncover root causes in complex control and electro‑mechanical failures.
- Proficiency reading electrical schematics, hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams, and mechanical blueprints.
- Exceptional communication; self‑directed and capable of independent work.
- Physical:
Frequent standing/sitting/tool handling and verbal communication; occasional walking and reaching; ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs unassisted. Vision needs include close work, depth perception, and focus adjustment. - Environment:
Occasional exposure to moving parts, airborne particles, temperature extremes, and electrical shock risk; moderate noise. - Travel:
Up to 75% travel within the U.S. with occasional international assignments. A valid driver’s license and passport (or ability to obtain) are required.
