Senior Control Systems Engineer

Brightwork's specialist client are currently recruiting a Senior Control Systems Engineer who will deliver remote support to site commissioning engineers by troubleshooting and resolving control systems and process control issues, ensuring successful project completion and smooth hand-over to customers for project acceptance at global installation sites.

• Technical Support: Providing remote assistance to site commissioning engineers, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to control systems.
• System Configuration and Testing: Assist in configuring, testing, and validating control systems to ensure they meet project specifications and operational requirements.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of support activities, including issue resolution steps, system configurations, and any changes made during the support process.
• Training and Guidance: Offer training and guidance to site engineers on the operation and maintenance of control systems, ensuring they are well-equipped to handle on-site challenges.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in control systems and support processes, providing feedback to the development team to enhance system performance and reliability.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and operation of control systems.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure all control systems and support activities comply with relevant safety standards and regulations.

• Trade Qualified Industrial Electrician or Instrument Fitter, coupled with Associated Diploma of Engineering (Electrical), or Equivalent
• Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical or Control Systems)

• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of control systems, including PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems, DCS (Distributed Control Systems), and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) software.
