The OpportunityWe are partnering with organizations in Plainwell that are seeking Quality Engineers. Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control plans and inspection procedures.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality non‑conformances.
- Monitor and analyze production processes and product quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Participate in new product introduction (NPI) and design reviews to ensure quality requirements are integrated.
- Manage and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Perform internal and supplier quality audits to ensure adherence to specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and reduce defects.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing) or a related technical field.
- 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with core quality tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, SPC, MSA, Root Cause Analysis, 8D).
- Strong understanding and practical application of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
- Experience with industry-specific quality standards (e.g., ISO 13485, IATF 16949, AS9100)
- ASQ Certification (e.g., Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Auditor)
