Systems Control is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer Co‑op to become a part of our Integrated Substation Solutions team - January‑May 2026. As a Mechanical Design Engineer Co‑op, you will support Design, Manufacturing, and Engineering Teams in our world‑class facility.
Responsibilities- Work with Project Management and Drafting to design products.
- Create standard drawings.
- Assist in design verification testing, documentation, and reporting.
- Provide manufacturing support for specific customers and/or production areas.
- Assist in implementing design changes and communicate requirements to all impacted groups.
- Identify potential improvements to products.
- Pursuing a B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field. Completed 4+ semesters preferred.
- Experience using 3D modeling software (Creo preferred), 2D AutoCAD and MS Office Suite.
- Knowledgeable in Engineering Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Welding, and other manufacturing processes.
- Must be a team player, creative, and have strong hands‑on mechanical knowledge.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficient written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects at one time.
