Supply Chain Engineering Technician

Howmet Aerospace has an opportunity for an on-site Supply Chain Engineering Technician in our Plant 4 Thermatech facility in Whitehall, MI
! Reporting to the Sales & Supply Chain Manager, this individual will assist with non-recurring engineering reviews and part qualification/fixed process administration, while handling various administrative tasks that support our sales, supply chain, and engineering teams. This position plays an essential part in ensuring accuracy and efficiency in documentation, assist with information management for engineering and supply chain, and customer-related processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support non-recurring engineering review and part qualification processes.
• Assist with fixed process administration and documentation.
• Input laboratory test results and upload serial numbers into relevant customer systems.
• Collect, organize, and upload photos and documentation as requested by customers.
• Time study and enter cost data to assist with preparation of customer quotations.
• Track and report time spent related to open purchase order (PO) coverage and project tasks.
• Collaborate closely with supply chain and engineering teams to ensure timely and accurate information flow.
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Requirements:

• Minimum of an Associate degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of one year experience working in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical certification or associate degree in supply chain, engineering, or business-related field.
• Familiarity with laboratory test procedures and part qualification processes.
• Experience using data management systems.
• Knowledge of customer quotation preparation and purchase order processes.
• Ability to accurately manage and maintain records and documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
