To administer and control the development of product in manufacturing and appropriate manufacturing methods/processes at the most cost‑effective level while meeting the quality, quantity, and long‑term objectives of the company, alongside assisting in the maintenance of equipment, tooling, and facilities.

Essential Functions
  • Plan and coordinate production procedures, identifying process needs, improvements, and changes, and lead projects designed to implement process changes that are identified or as directed.
  • Develop processes to manufacture products through effective utilization of in‑house build programs, outside vendor build programs, and equipment vendors.
  • Support the tooling needs of the plan locations by developing, implementing, and directing a tooling program that includes cost‑effective development of new tooling, tooling modifications, vendor and supplier coordination, and expediting to manufacturing.
  • Train and motivate a staff capable of effectively achieving established objectives.
  • Ensure accurate and adequate storage of engineering records and documented support for process and product changes.
  • Prepare cost analysis and justification rationales for engineered changes.
  • Prepare project cost estimates and budgets, including automation equipment.
  • Assist in developing products using external or internal sources and/or expertise.
  • Maintain effective communication with Manufacturing, Quality Control, Material Control, Marketing, and Sample Room.
  • Update and stay current with state‑of‑the‑art engineering procedures, processes, materials, and manufacturing techniques to advise departments on company objectives.
  • Provide recommendations for new products within company objectives.
  • Perform special projects and other assignments as required by the Engineering Manager.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience with emphasis on manufacturing, product, and process engineering.
Prerequisites For The Job
  • High degree of organization and administrative skills.
  • Thermoforming processing experience.
  • Some facility/tooling background skills desired.
