Middle School Language Arts Teacher

Boyne City Schools is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Middle School Language Arts Teacher to inspire and engage our students for the  school year. We are looking for an enthusiastic educator who is passionate about fostering literacy skills, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of reading and writing in adolescent learners.

As a Middle School Language Arts Teacher, you will report directly to the Middle School Principal and play a crucial role in shaping students' academic and personal growth. You will be responsible for creating a vibrant and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels empowered to learn and succeed.

• Develop and deliver engaging, research-based English Language Arts instruction aligned with the State of Michigan benchmarks.
• Implement effective classroom management strategies that promote high student engagement and a positive, productive learning environment.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and ability levels of all students within the same classroom.
• Seamlessly integrate technology into daily lessons to enhance learning experiences and outcomes.
• Collaborate actively and effectively with content and grade-level teams to achieve individual classroom, building, and district-wide educational goals.
• Contribute positively to the school community, potentially through coaching, advising, or supporting extracurricular activities.

• Required:
  
  An active Michigan Teaching Certificate with a BX code or similar.
• Desired:
  Additional teaching endorsements are a plus.
• Demonstrated experience and a proven track record of success working with adolescent-aged students.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
• A strong team player with a positive attitude, a sense of humor, and a genuine willingness to contribute to a collaborative professional learning community.

This is a full-time position for the  school year, operating under the terms of the current union contract.
