Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate scheduling of IEP, MET and manifestation determination meetings, including parent notifications for students on the caseload
  • Maintain accurate records (B‑worksheets, attendance, discipline/special education records)
  • Provide input to Building Principal regarding the impact of each student’s disability on discipline
  • Maintain an up‑to‑date binder of students’ most recent IEPs and discipline actions/forms for administrative review
  • Provide parents with regular updates of student progress on IEP goals as often as general‑education report cards are provided
  • Plan, prepare and organize the IEP document, develop appropriate goals and objectives
  • Plan, coordinate and chair the IEP process for students on the caseload
  • Oversee planning, provide and implement instructional services for all assigned students
  • Provide direct instruction to students as determined through the IEPs
  • Support general‑education staff with accommodations and supplemental needs of special‑education students
