We believe in the importance of early childhood education and are actively seeking an experienced Lead Teacher for our Young Preschool classroom at our Lake Orion center.
As the Lead Teacher in the Young Preschool classroom, you will play a vital role in the development and well‑being of our students; creating a warm, engaging and safe environment for them to learn and thrive. You will lead the day‑to‑day activities and have the support and collaboration of an assistant teacher to provide the best possible learning experience and care for children 3‑4 years of age utilizing the High Scope curriculum.

ScheduleMonday – Friday 6:45am‑3:45pm
Pay Range$14‑$20/hour (based on certification or degree and years of experience)
Qualifications- Minimum of CDA certificate or working toward a degree in Early Childhood Education(ECE) or related field.
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in early childhood education, child development or child‑related field preferred
- Minimum of one year experience in ECE in a Preschool classroom required
- CPR Certification
- Willing to pursue higher education in accordance with NAEYC and Michigan Child Care Licensing guidelines for ECE Teachers

NOTE:
This position does not qualify for VISA sponsorship or relocation
- Ensures overall safety of children
- Develop and implement daily lesson plans based on individual student’s needs and interests
- Implement High Scope curriculum, philosophy, and assessment tools
- Conduct Parent Teacher conferences
- Comply with licensing rules, regulations, and procedures
- Attend Heartfelt Impressions company/school meetings
- Partner with parents and assist students regarding “Toilet Learning” approaches
- Participate in snack and meal service Family Style Dining
- Ensure cleaning tasks are completed
- Ensure the classroom is engaging and developmentally age appropriate
