Long-Term Special Education Elementary Teacher

This is a full-time on-site position for a Long-Term Special Education Elementary Teacher, located in Central Lake, MI. The role involves developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), teaching students with diverse abilities, and fostering an inclusive classroom environment. The teacher will collaborate with other educators, staff, and families to support the academic, social, and emotional growth of students. Additionally, the position includes assessing needs, adapting curriculum, and employing innovative teaching methods to ensure effective learning and development.

• Experience and skills in Special Education and working with students with disabilities
• Proficiency in teaching elementary-level students, with familiarity in middle school education as a plus
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to engage with students, parents, and colleagues effectively
• Certifications or degrees in Special Education or a related teaching field
• Understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and strategies to support diverse learning needs
• Strong organizational skills and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
