Overview

Title: Training Coordinator

Reports To: Plant Manager

Status: Full Time/Hourly (40 hrs/week; additional hours as needed to support organization and individual goals)

Job Requirements: Associate’s degree in business, teaching, related field, or equivalent experience

3-5 years of educational or training experience

High level of interpersonal communication skills and professionalism

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Job Preferences: Bachelor’s degree in business, teaching, related field, or equivalent experience

Excellent project management skills.

Job Summary: Analyze, design and manage work-related training and development programs to improve individual skills and organizational performance.

• Identify the educational needs of employees, developing formal training programs and classes.
• Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups, or consultation with managers, instructors, or customer representatives.
• Identifying the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills.
• Evaluate modes of training delivery to optimize training effectiveness and training costs.
• Offer specific training programs to help workers maintain or improve job skills.
• Obtain, organize, or develop training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts or visual materials.
• Planning and interacting with local schools and students for on-the-job training opportunities.
