Location: Caro
Locum - Family Medicine Physician Caro, MI Join our team as a dedicated Family Medicine Physician providing exceptional outpatient care in Caro, Michigan. This vital role supports our community by delivering comprehensive healthcare services during a scheduled temporary assignment. As a key provider, you will help bridge a critical staffing gap, ensuring patients receive continuous, high-quality care in a dynamic outpatient setting.
What You ll Do:
Deliver outpatient adult and pediatric care according to standard practice protocols. Work Monday through Thursday, from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, in a busy clinic environment. Participate in an after-hours rotation for clinic call coverage. Manage approximately 20 patient encounters daily. Utilize the Heathland EHR system for documentation and patient management. Collaborate with onsite support staff, including Medical Assistants and receptionists, and utilize available onsite services such as Point-of-Care testing and diagnostic imaging.
Required Skills:
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school. Valid state medical license in Michigan. Proven experience in outpatient Family Medicine for adults and pediatrics. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems, preferably Heathland. Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Nice to Have
Skills:
Previous experience in a similar locum or outpatient setting. Additional certifications related to family practice or emergency procedures. BLS/ACLS certification. Preferred
Education and Experience:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO). Minimum of 2 years of outpatient Family Medicine experience. Prior locum or temporary coverage experience is advantageous. Other Requirements:

October 3, 2026. End date:
May 29, 2025. Must be able to participate in clinic call rotation. Mileage reimbursement, travel stipends, and licensure/certification expenses are available where applicable, with specific caps and policies in place. Malpractice insurance coverage included; orientation paid at half the hourly rate. Hourly pay rate to be discussed; competitive pay packages are offered.
