Overview

Arnold Transit Company, the largest ferry service connecting passengers and freight to picturesque Mackinac Island, is seeking passionate Customer Service Agents to join our team working in our gift stores and ticket booths! In this role, you’ll be the go-to expert for guests, ensuring they have everything they need for a smooth and exciting journey. From answering questions and selling tickets to assisting with special accommodation, you’ll provide top-notch customer service.

You’ll also handle sales transactions, operate the POS system and keep you drawer balances – all while sharing your knowledge of ferry schedules, pricing, and local attraction. If you enjoy helping people and working in a fast-paced environment, this role is for you!

Based in the stunning Northern Michigan, you ll enjoy daily views of the Great Lakes shorelines, and the Mackinac Bridge. Mackinac Island is a globally renowned tourist and historical destination, attracting visitors from all corners of the world. While our peak season buzzes with activity during the warmer months, adventure seekers keep us going year-round. We re on the lookout for dedicated and enthusiastic team players.

Your Contributions to the TEAM
  • Welcome and assist guests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Greet customers, answer questions and anticipate their needs.
  • Sell and communicate our services & goods to customers regarding ferry schedules, ticket pricing, promotions and other general information regarding their adventure.
  • Respond to multi-line phone systems and other communications.
  • Accurately and efficiently operate ticket Point of Service (POS) System
  • Process ticket & gift store sales transactions.
  • Recognize & arrange accommodation for guests with special needs or concerns.
  • Balance cash drawer
  • Restock & organize inventory.
  • Maintain clean and orderly work environment.
  • Maintaining company standards of appearance and cleanliness
  • Participate and apply procedural and safety training
