As a Civil Superintendent at Greening Group, you will be responsible for successful execution of the construction and start-up of the solar project. The Civil Superintendent will provide leadership to the project staff and all organizations on site.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and participate in unskilled, semi-skilled and/or skilled work. Plan, schedule and supervise: all civil including but not limited to erosion controls, road construction, foundations, pile driving, mechanical assembly, module installation, trenches, equipment off-loading, wiring, terminations, interconnection, etc.
  • Manage and supervise the civil construction, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications with total emphasis on Safety and Quality
  • Provide technical supervision to assigned personnel including the resolution of the more complex technical problems
  • Make sure safety program is in compliance and all personnel fulfill Corporate Safety Requirements
  • Monitor and enforce OSHA regulations and safety protocols on job sites
  • Lead regular site meetings with professionals, including surveyors, engineers, foremen, subcontractors, and client representatives to assess progress, address issues, and provide guidance to the construction team
  • Maintain strict quality control procedures - this requires regular visual inspections of work, frequent tours of the site, and fill up quality check list to ensure the highest standards of quality.
  • Ensures the project runs to schedule, and finding solutions to problems that may cause delays, such as the late arrival of materials.
  • Collecting and classifying all engineering and supplier information provided
  • Review schematics, blueprints, and other construction documents to ensure code accuracy and compliance.
  • Organizing, coordinating, and directing the execution of site work.
  • Requesting and reviewing the quantity and quality of site manpower.
  • Ensures the proper tools and construction equipment are available and properly utilized.
  • Requesting the purchase of site materials as required.
  • Supervising and/or inspecting and controlling quality of the site workmanship, materials, and equipment.
  • Performing man-hour and cost allocation and quantifying surveying.
  • Reporting cost and progress of site work.
  • Filling up daily reports and making sure to collect subcontractors’ reports
  • Supervising site testing and witness records.
  • Write procedures and monitor compliance with them and applicable local, state, and federal regulations
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree In Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Understands OSHA regulations and safety protocols
  • Proficient in the use of Pro Core
  • 5+ years’ experience in construction management and a comprehensive understanding of construction site operations.
  • 5+ years managing medium-to-large scale construction projects.
  • 5+ years of experience for a GC or EPC.
  • 5+ years in a supervisory role, with proven ability to motivate and guide a construction team
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and other construction documents
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities, coupled with the capacity to think critically and make sound decisions
  • Spanish is a plus
