Salary Range: $59,000 - $86,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Mason seeking Buyers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers for raw materials, components, and MRO items.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable conditions.
• Generate and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery to support production schedules.
• Monitor supplier performance, addressing quality, delivery, and service issues proactively.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure material specifications are met.
• Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities without compromising quality or supply.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and master data within the ERP system.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of direct purchasing/procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for purchasing, inventory, and production planning.
• Proven negotiation skills and experience in supplier relationship management, including contract review and performance evaluation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards for manufacturing components.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

Bonus Qualifications

• Familiarity with manufacturing processes or engineering drawings.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
• Proficiency in advanced data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CPIM).
