Cost Accountant - St. Johns Area

Salary Range: $66,000 - $99,000 depending on experience

• Analyze and report on manufacturing costs, including labor, material, and overhead variances.
• Develop, maintain, and update standard costs for Bill of Materials (BOMs) and routings.
• Perform detailed variance analysis (price, quantity, efficiency) and provide actionable insights.
• Manage inventory valuation, reconcile physical inventory to the general ledger, and analyze obsolescence.
• Support the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes for cost of goods sold.
• Calculate product costs for new products, special projects, and "what-if" scenarios.
• Prepare and distribute regular cost reports for management to support decision‑making.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of progressive cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• In-depth knowledge of cost accounting principles, inventory valuation, variance analysis, and GAAP.
• Demonstrated analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

• Advanced proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL).
• Experience with large‑scale ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365).
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
