Cost Accountant - DeWitt Area

Salary Range: $67,000 - $100,000 depending on experience

• Develop and maintain standard costs for materials, labor, and manufacturing overhead.
• Analyze production variances (material, labor, overhead) and report on root causes.
• Manage inventory valuation, reconciliation, and cost of goods sold calculations.
• Prepare detailed cost reports and provide insights for management decision‑making.
• Participate in month‑end close activities related to inventory and cost accounting.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts for manufacturing costs.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, variance analysis, and inventory valuation methods.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.

• Deep experience with manufacturing modules in major ERP systems (e.g., SAP CO-PC, Oracle EBS Manufacturing).
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
• Experience with SQL for data extraction and analysis.
