Bookkeeper - Ludington Area

Salary Range: $50,000 - $71,000 depending on experience

• Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely payment of vendor invoices for raw materials and operational costs.
• Process accounts receivable, including invoicing customers for manufactured goods and following up on outstanding payments.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations accurately and promptly.
• Maintain the general ledger, posting journal entries and ensuring proper classification of manufacturing-related transactions.
• Assist with payroll processing and related tax filings for factory and office staff.
• Support inventory management by tracking costs of goods sold and raw material expenditures.
• Prepare basic financial reports such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets for management review.

• Experience with full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
• Proven experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, SAP Business One, Sage) and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with cost accounting principles, inventory valuation, and tracking of raw materials and finished goods.
• Strong reconciliation skills for bank accounts, vendor statements, and intercompany transactions.

• Experience with ERP systems common in manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor)
• Familiarity with cost accounting principles or inventory valuation methods (FIFO, LIFO)
• Experience with fixed asset management and depreciation in a manufacturing environment
• Understanding of manufacturing workflows or supply chain operations
