The Accounting Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the accounting department for our EBlock Flint auction location in Mount Morris, Michigan. Some of the responsibilities will include journal entries, month end process, balance sheet reconciliations, and cash management. A qualified candidate will have strong quantitative and interpersonal skills, as well as an understanding of GAAP and experience with ERP. We are looking for a team player with a keen interest in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations to support our team.

What You Will Do
  • Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
  • Perform day-to-day transactions, including journal entries
  • Ensure GAAP compliance
  • Perform electronic settlements, cash receipts, and AP processing
  • Annual budgeting
  • Analyzing and communicating monthly P&L results with management
  • Daily reconciliation of bank activity
  • Posting service invoices for ancillary services
  • Execute Month End process
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
  • Coordinate and complete annual audits

    Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
  • Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested
  • Work with direct reports to determine objectives and goals for each year, and advise on their progress to enhance staff professional development
  • Handle personnel issues that relate to absenteeism, staff performance, and staff conflict
  • Assist in the design and implementation of features and procedures to enhance the accounting department’s workflow
  • Train and advise new and existing employees of non-routine reporting transactions
  • Develop more efficient procedures and proper use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Respond to inquiries from the Controller, Director of Finance, and other high-level Managers
What You Will Need
  • Proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related certification is required
  • Requires 3-5 years’ experience
  • Expertise in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Requires organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Requires attention to detail and the ability to multitask
  • Required ability to analyze and reconcile large amounts of data
  • Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results
  • Requires ERP experience (in Net Suite or SAGE preferred)
  • Experience in the automotive industry / automotive auction industry is preferred

At E INC, in the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share our base pay as it is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this full-time position is $80,000.00 - $90,000.00, and this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments. Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

In addition, our ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
