Accounting Manager

Venteon is currently seeking an Accounting Manager to fill an opening with an Industry Leader and Employer of Choice with headquarters in Western Michigan. The Accounting Manager will oversee core accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and partner with leadership to support data-driven decision-making. This role offers strong visibility and the opportunity to help scale processes in a growing company.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in an industry environment.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accrual accounting.
• Experience managing month-end close processes and reconciliations.
• Background supporting audits and maintaining internal controls.
• ERP system experience required;
  Net Suite preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll coordination.
• Lead monthly and annual close processes ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Develop and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Support cash management activities including bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve financial reporting accuracy and efficiency.
