Tax Preparer

Location: Northville

Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will focus on preparing individual tax returns (1040s) using Intuit software. This position is fully remote, offering flexibility in working hours, and is ideal for professionals seeking a contract opportunity.

Responsibilities:

- Accurately prepare and file individual tax returns (1040s) using Intuit Pro Series software.

- Analyze financial information and ensure compliance with tax regulations and laws.

- Maintain thorough and organized records of all tax-related documents and correspondence.

- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns regarding their tax filings.

- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and software functionalities to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation and verify information.

- Ensure timely completion of all assigned tasks within the designated deadlines.

- Utilize intuitive user interfaces to streamline the tax preparation process.

- Assist in troubleshooting software issues related to tax preparation tools.

- Monitor and review completed returns to identify any discrepancies or errors. Requirements - Proven experience in preparing individual tax returns (1040s).

- Proficiency in using Intuit Pro Series and other tax preparation software.

- Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements.

- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently in a remote setting.

- Effective communication skills for client interaction and collaboration.

- Familiarity with intuitive user interfaces and digital tools.

- Flexibility to adapt to varying workloads and deadlines.
