Senior Operations Engineer – Peepers by Peeper Specs

Purpose: The AI-Driven Operations Engineer is responsible for owning and advancing the flow of data and product across Peepers’ distribution and logistics ecosystem. This role focuses on architecting, building, and scaling integrations and automations that connect ERP, warehouse, and eCommerce systems. By leveraging modern AI-assisted development tools, this position enables faster, smarter execution of complex operational solutions that directly impact speed, accuracy, and efficiency from warehouse to customer.

The Mission: We are looking for a new breed of developer to revolutionize our distribution and logistics operations. We don't want a "maintenance mode" administrator; we want a high-velocity builder.

Shift in Standard: The previous standard for this role was manually writing lines of code. The new standard is architectural leverage. We are seeking a developer who treats AI tools (Cursor, Claude, Anti Gravity) as a force multiplier to architect complex logistical solutions at 10x speed.

Your goal: The goal is to own the flow of data and product - from our warehouses to our customers—by building robust integrations and automations. You will sit at the intersection of Code, Logistics, and Strategy.

You have a strong background in software development (JavaScript, Type Script, Python, etc.) and understand system architecture, API design, and data structures.

You don’t just "use ChatGPT." You code in Cursor or with Claude Code daily. You understand how to utilize LLMs to handle syntax and boilerplate so you can focus on logic, security, and architecture.

You understand that code in our world moves physical boxes. You care about pick-paths, shipping zones, WMS latencies, and inventory accuracy.

• Utilize AIfirst coding environments (Cursor, Claude Code, Anti Gravity) to rapidly prototype, test, and deploy solutions for our Operations stack
• Translate complex business logic into clean, maintainable code structures, letting AI handle the heavy lifting on syntax while you ensure architectural integrity
• Build and maintain robust integrations between our ERP (Net Suite), WMS, and eCommerce platforms (Shopify) using REST/SOAP APIs

• Lead the technical side of our Supply Chain, including optimizing our custom WMS integration and automating EDI transaction processing with trading partners
• Solve complex real-world problems such as order routing speed and realtime inventory synchronization across channels. How do we sync inventory across multiple channels instantly?
• Work directly with Warehouse Operations to identify bottlenecks and code solutions that physically speed up the floor

• Serve as the technical lead for our ERP data structure, treating Net Suite as a platform to build on rather than just a tool to configure

  If you are an excellent engineer, AI can help you write the specific Suite Script (Net Suite's JavaScript flavor); understanding the logic of the solution is what matters
• Manage script deployments, map operational workflows, and ensure data integrity across the organization

• Bridge the gap between Technology and Business by translating requests from the CEO to VP of Operations into technical roadmaps
• Create informative dashboards and reporting tools that provide realtime visibility into operational health
